Spinning classes are a non-impact aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary spinning bike. You pedal along to motivating music, while Henry talks you through a series of exercises designed to work your whole body. During the exercises you will be seated or standing, varying the resistance on the bike and your pace, to simulate cycling uphill, downhill or on the flat. Unlike other fitness classes, it requires little coordination, it can accommodate all fitness levels and although you follow Henry’s direction, you are always in control of your resistance and pace. Spinning is an excellent aerobic workout that burns approximately 500 calories during a 1 hour class.

Unlike other spinning classes, Fitness Matrix in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne offers a unique and personal approach to spinning, where Henry takes pride in the session and the music which you spin to. Henry has spent time collating the best tracks both old and new, that you can really get in to.

Currently, the spinning classes are a maximum of eight people and take place on Monday evenings at 7pm, Wednesday evenings at 5.45pm and Saturday mornings at 9.30am.
